When Strada put in a new plan on some of the Mega Quarry lands they assured the community it was above the water table
“Throughout the megaquarry process, a lot of what the township said was we didn’t think extraction below the water table was a good idea,” White said. “This application doesn’t even suggest any extraction below the water table. It is strictly above.”
This new proposal is about blasting beneath the water table. What’s next, a new Mega Quarry?

Strada will publicly say, Ontario has strict regulations. But that’s a lie
The Province has 34 inspectors who lack experience, there’s been reduced inspections and regardless, the Province “rarely pursues charges”
So, now Strada is “working with the community” and engaging before they file their application. That’s in their best interest NOT ours
